flower upon flour is a cake design boutique serving New York City and the surrounding areas, including Westchester and Fairfield counties. 

The vision when I opened my business back in 2001 was to deliver to my clients something unusual -- a cake that is not only beautiful, but also delicious.  Perhaps just as important is the time I spend with each client to make sure everything is perfect.  I find this is the pleasure of a small boutique -- I have the time to give every client the care and attention their special event deserves.  Many of my clients are celebrating a wedding, but I design cakes for all special occasions. 

My design aesthetic is quite varied since every cake is a unique creation custom designed with each client.  I have developed over the years a special artistry in sugar designs, including flowers and figurines, but the joy comes from being able to create whatever the client has in mind.
